~ Equipment application
Most equipment is used to purify water from iron (Fe2 +), but additional equipment also reduces the odor of manganese and hydrogen sulfide. The main benefits - the equipment does not require reagents, the rinsing water does not harm the biological sewage system and, unlike other equipment of aeration methods, this equipment has only one tank, which is important if the installation space is limited.
~ Principle of operation
Water deironing equipment OXY-A is deironed by the aeration method, oxidizing iron and manganese and then filtering.
At the top of the tank of the filtration system there is air (incl. Oxygen) through which the water-dissolved iron (Fe2 +, Fe3 +) is oxidized, forming molecules (Fe2O3, FeO), which are easier to attach to the filter material.
The precipitates and molecules formed as a result of the oxidation process are trapped by a filter layer of quartz and manganese dioxide sand located in the same tank. Thus, the water after filtration is purified from iron. An additional function of the filter layer is that it also acts as a catalyst, which means that oxygen is not required to remove water for low iron content. Oxygen for this equipment serves as an aid to the efficiency of the equipment at high iron contents. The filter medium must be rinsed periodically with water. Iron, manganese, etc. filtered out by rinsing the equipment. impurities are flushed down the drain.
The amount of oxygen is restored with an air compressor. The frequency and duration of the air supply as well as the rinsing cycles of the unit are provided by the unit control mechanism.
The control mechanism is fully equipped with the necessary functions to be able to adjust the settings required for each object individually, based on the results of water analyzes, water pressures and other specifications.
The control unit is equipped with a water meter that counts liters until the next rinse.
~ Purification efficiency
Iron (Fe2 + 3+): - 7mg / l.
Manganese (Mn2 + 3+): - 1 mg / l.
Hydrogen sulphide (H2S): - 2 mg / l
Important! The level of water treatment is also affected by other chemical parameters such as oxidizability, pH acidity, etc. A sharp increase in these values can affect the cleaning efficiency of the equipment.
Recommended pH in water: 6.5-9.0 pH
Recommended Oxidation level: <12mgOl
