~ Equipment application
Most of the equipment is used to soften water and remove iron (Fe2+), but additionally equipment also cleans manganese and ammonium. These devices differ from conventional water softening devices in that they ensure a continuous supply of water to the consumer without changing the water quality and treatment efficiency even during regeneration.
~ Principle of operation
Each tank of the equipment is filled with a filler consisting of two components - quartz stones and cationic ion exchange resin. Quartz stones are used as a protective layer and to break up the water flow, but the cation exchange layer is used to soften the water and purify it of iron, manganese and ammonium compounds.
Water, flowing through this filling in the tanks, attracts calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, ammonium, etc. ions. Thus, the water reaches the consumer purified. However, as untreated water flows through the tank volume, it gradually reduces the performance of this filling (resin), so it must be renewed periodically. Recovery occurs automatically by rinsing with a saline solution. This is called filter regeneration. Elements accumulated during regeneration (Ca, Mg, etc.) are flushed down the drain.
The device has two pressure tanks and with the control of the device, the water flow is ensured only through one of the tanks. This is necessary so that during the regeneration of the equipment, the untreated water supply does not enter the system to the consumer. For example, when one of the tanks is regenerating, the control closes the water outlet from this tank, but in the meantime, the water supply is provided through the other tank until the next regeneration of the equipment. Such a process provides the consumer with a continuous supply of purified water with undiminished purification efficiency and throughput. The device operated in automatic mode with the help of a control mechanism.
The control mechanism is fully equipped with the necessary functions to be able to adjust the settings needed individually for each customer, guided by the results of water analyses, water pressures, etc. The control mechanism is equipped with a water consumption meter that ensures the regeneration interval of the device (counts liters until the next regeneration) , thus ensuring economy of consumption of reagent "Salt" and water.
~ Assembly and manufacturers
The most essential components of the equipment are control mechanisms and fillings. With a lot of experience in water purification, we have gained complete confidence in the quality, safety and durability of the components.
The water treatment equipment of this series is assembled from "Clack WSEI" manufactured in the USA; For "WSCI" mechanisms.
Ion exchange fillings are used - "Pure resin", "TapTec HCR S/S" or analogues.
~ Operation
The performance of the device is affected by the quality of the water, so it must be taken into account that the worse the water quality, the slower the purification rate.
The frequency of regeneration is calculated for each customer individually, which depends on the quality of the purified water (water hardness, content of iron, manganese, ammonium, etc.) and the selected equipment model.
The total amount of wastewater per regeneration also depends on water pressures, pipe diameters, etc.
Reagent consumption also depends on the quality, density, etc. of the "Salt" reagent itself.
It is necessary to independently and regularly monitor the replenishment of the reagent in the salt compartment of the device. The frequency of replenishment depends on the volume of the reagent tank and the frequency of regenerations. In standard situations, salt is replenished approximately once a month by filling the reagent compartment with salt granules. The next addition of reagent should be made when the salt level in the compartment has dropped to approximately ½ of the total volume.
The total warranty of the equipment is 3 years.
